New Year Update

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas, despite everything. Onwards and upwards into the New Year – hopefully it’s an improvement on the last!

A new year marks the start of a new year, obviously, but it can help to act as a ‘new beginning’ (but then again who said you need to change, and who said you needed permission to change or do something differently? You do what makes you feel happy).

For me, I like setting reachable goals throughout the year, without consciously putting too much pressure on myself. Just enough to send me in the direction I want to go in, but not too much that I beat myself up, if for some reason I do not achieve them.

If this year is anything like the last, the best we can do is make the most of what we’ve got; not focus on ‘improving’ ourselves as though running hopelessly, striving for the ever – changing expectation that is perfection.

On that note, I’d like to take you through a few of my blogging goals of 2021, so that you’re aware. They’re all about getting you – the attentive reader – more involved.

I say this because it’s a nice, round number and easy to remember – not to mention the convenient fact that we are just over half way there already. (Yay! Thank you!). You and me, we will get there.

Interview Mini – series

This was an idea that I thought of only the other day, so I haven’t properly set it up yet. The basis of the idea is that six people answer a few set, mental health related, questions. Which I am then planning to post on here, over a six week period in the summer months (let me know if you’re interested!)

From there we can talk through a range of questions, and work out which questions you would rather, or rather not, answer. We can also make sure that you are anonymous in the post as well, if you prefer.

Would that be something you’d be interested in reading or taking part in?

Taking part in more Guest Posts and Blog Collaborations

Following on from my guest post with Elizabeth Holland (which you can read here), I would really like to connect with more of you.

We could work together and write posts for either person’s blog, for example (any other suggestions are welcome!) It would be a really nice thing to do.

Developing my Freelancing

I would like to delve into a few more aspects of freelance writing, such as helping you keep up with your own website or blog content. If you run a newsletter, I am happy to help you write it, for example.

Just be aware that if you do need help with anything that comes under my freelancing services, you will need to pay a fee. A fee that we’ll discuss privately if you contact me.

If you are thinking this could be useful, then there’s more information on my Twitter and Instagram – also the best way of contacting me.

P.S. There are a few other writer-y projects on the horizon too!
