Poem: Vulnerability

Not that I would be able to tell you, but I admire you.

I admire the way you get up and go

Despite everything against you

A face of optimism that shows great strength

You don't show it often or if at all, but I see that you struggle, between the chuckles and the hearty laughs

I see that you struggle.

I glimpse the frown as the wrinkles of your smile disappears

and I see a flash of your hurt

It's best if I do not tell you I know of your hurt, because to tell you would make you feel vulnerable, and I worry that it is not a vulnerability you are ready for

As the fear would be too intense too sudden

I just wanted you to know that I see you
