A Poem: I Feel Happiest When I am Writing

I feel happiest when I am writing,
the soft tap of the keyboard,
Or the flurry of my wrist as my pen meets the page.
When we write, we become artists,
painting a picture for our readers,
a splash of colour here,
and a certain direction there,
A grey world becomes colourful.
A chorus of experience
coming together in a chorus
of many harmonies singing as one
In the quiet, as the chorus quells,
there is a moment of contemplation.
The tying of a bow on a lyrical present.
There are some things only the written word can express.
The stillness of a single moment,
the idea that we live a life of millions of moments, only to be able to experience them one at a time.
The beauty of being a writer is that it means you can experience these more than one at a time
and pass that on.
If we can only live one moment at a time, why not live each moment to the fullest?
If we were to live the same moment again and again, how would we live it differently each time?
