Poetry is all about exploring big concepts and complex feelings in a way that is succinct and hits home in the right way. A way that can be useful to do this is a stream of consciousness of what you need to say. For example, when I am first writing a poem, I have an idea of the central theme or emotion, but I'm not sure how to frame it.

That's not to say that I did not know that was coming, or that I was the first person to ever find that frustrating. It's not that I don't like working, it’s more that I have been working at 120% capacity for the last three years.

I am still finding my feet. I finished my English literature degree at 9pm on a Tuesday evening. I handed in my last piece of work. It all ends very quickly; three years of work and — with just a single tap — you click the submission button.

There are so many things that I would like to do, that I would like to achieve, that I'm interested in. This automatically means that I end up doing a lot without acknowledging the fact that I am potentially doing too much at once — and that leads to an endless cycle of burnout.
