This is an impromptu post to let you know of a fundraising event coming up on Tuesday the 23rd of February. I think most of you would be keen to know a bit more about it.
The basis of the event is that free coaching sessions are being offered by three wonderful established coaches: Cynthia Moore, Tom Phillips and Jo Woods. They have collaborated and put together the offer of a day of free coaching. Instead of the usual required payment for the coaching, they ask that you make a donation of £45 to the charity, Chapter: Mental Health, in exchange for their time.

Times are hard, so in no way am I pressuring you to spend money that you can’t afford. I’m merely making you aware that the offer is there if you’re interested. The donation is less than half the price of a normal coaching session. And if you ask me, it is going to such a worthy cause. It is also a smaller, local charity. So you can rest assured that the money is going exactly where you want it to go.
They are doing this because, they too, understand that times are hard – and we need to do all we can to support local charities and businesses. Lockdown is making it difficult to facilitate fundraising events; and the vital service that this charity provides is needed now more than ever, what with Coronavirus and mental health more so at the forefront of our minds.
About the Charity
Chapter are dedicated to improving the lives of those who are suffering with mental health. They help people regain their confidence, those who are seeking training or employment – and eventually building people up to fulfilling their life goals.
Having been going for 30 years and set up by people also suffering with their mental health, Chapter maintains it’s collaborative and supportive ethos. They provide direct support to over 200 people every year recovering from Serious Mental Illness (SMI), as well as supporting community groups to improve wellbeing.
Recently, they launched an ambitious new project, called ‘RE:SET,’ which aims to support people who are at risk of mental illness, and help them develop coping strategies to help manage how they are feeling, but also help prevent further struggle.
Their vision is for a society where mental ill-health is no longer a barrier to opportunity, and where everyone is able to reach their potential.
